So Proud

We had a parent - teacher conference for Zach last week at his preschool. We were actually kind of worried going into it. Zach has had an interesting year. I have to give him credit - we yanked him out of his old school that we went to since we was only 5 months, moved him 2 hours away into a new house and gave him a little brother to steal away all his attention. Often times, we would wonder Geez. What happened to our sweet Zachy ... we knew he was there somewhere behind all the craziness. And then we would take a step back and remember, we kind of turned his life upside down.

So, we went to the conference and heard nothing but rave reviews including "what an asset" the additon of Zach was to his class. We asked about fits ... (NONE), We asked about his vocabulary .. (VAST), he plays nice, he laughs, he speaks well, he is well behaved. I could go on and on. We are so proud of him! We celebrated at home with Pizza, Ice cream and funny faces!!

Almost a Year .. Really??

Seriously, I don't want to do this blog. I am starting to be selfish, I want to give him every bottle, I want be the one to put him to sleep every night. I want to just hold him all the time - and he just wants to play ... 11 months!

Preschool Mother's Day

Zach invited me to school one morning to celebrate Mother's Day. I know the kids plan a lot of suprises and make art projects whenever they invite us to their class. So, on Monday that week I explained how excited I was to visit with him and I asked him what he was planning? He just looked at me point blank and said "Mama, I can't tell you - it is a suprise." And seriously, he wouldnn't tell me what he made, what we were doing or practice any of his songs around me. It kinda makes me nervous that he is capable of keeping a secret so well at such a young age! It was also so cute that several of the mom's (of the girls) told me how much their child talks about Zach. I say its funny because when I ask him about who he plays with. he always tells me that he does not play with any girls. I guess he is playing hard to get.

Mother's Day

This past Sunday was Mother's day. Randi and I took out our mothers on the days prior, but, on Sunday, we decided to spend Mother's day in Malibu with just the four of us - at Beachcomber. The forecast for Sunday, especially the beach, was not looking good and we almost didn't go. However, we sucked it up and hoped for the best. Well, the day was perfect. Happy Mother's day to my beautiful wife. We love you!

[I know it looks like I'm wearing capri pants in one of the photos. I didn't think it was going to be warm enough to go in the water.]

San Diego Continued

Picking up from one of Randi's blog, San Diego was a fun time.

The zoo was fun - Zach's favorite, if you can believe this, was the fake Jaguar - that's right, the FAKE animal.

Some of Zach's other favorites:

Maybe I do have a problem - Yes, I am the zoo - Yes, I am holding a diaper bag - AND yes, I am drinking a beer.

Jeremy was a great sport throughout this zoo trip. We skipped his nap but that didn't seem to phase him:

In the evening, we went to Randi's friend's barbecue. Zach trying to figure out the seesaw with his friend Avery:

Here is picture of Zach and Avery when they were only six months! I don't think Zach was afraid of here this time around. Amazing that they are both just turning the corner around 4 years old!

One of the other nights, we did smores on the beach:

A day late

Before I get to the main event, I seriously need to get caught up. We took these pictures of the boys right around Jeremy's 9 month milestone.

And here is Zach's 3 year old school picture! I love the pose.

Someone's on the move ..

Jeremy has gained a sudden burst of confidence since he started crawling. He is becoming pretty set in his ways too. He likes being outside and he knows how to get there. He is doing some serious exploration of our house and how to get up, down and around!

San Diego

My friend Ronna is having a baby sometime between now and the end of the month! Her baby shower was on Sunday so the weekend was filled with lots of fun with friends. We decided to be daring and took the entire fam down with me. The boys did great! A few hiccups here and there but overall, we couldn't have asked for anything more - especially not hitting a minute of traffic (we are so lucky). This should hold you over until I sort out all the pictures from the weekend.

Pooped!

I have been meaning post this picture for a while now. It kinda speaks for itself; but it is a rare moment!
