New Years in Big Bear
Planned the trip thinking it would be a typical winter weekend with lots of snow. NOT AT ALL. The afternoons were probably 70 degrees. Night time was a tad different - in the low 30s. Even with the unusual warm weather, there was still some leftover snow from the prior weeks, which was exciting for the kids to see. We spent the weekend going snow tubing, bowling (by the way, Zach beat Randi in a game. Randi continues to say that Zach had bumpers), playing arcade games, and for new years eve, we went to Wyatt's Saloon. Wyatt's had country dancing, a bounce house for kids, crafts, food, and beverages.

Santa Barbara
Uncle Jonathan and cousin Noah were in town few weeks ago. We took a trip to Santa Barbara (Ran's old stomping grounds), hung out at the beach, walked State Street, ate at Pascucci (excellent meatball sandwich), and finished our trip with ice cream.

Jeremy was loving the ice cream. The beast at the entire cone.

Hanukkah
"When can I light the candles?" "When can I open my present?" "Can I say the blessings (yes, he actually knows and says the blessings)"? Zach said this about ten times a day for 8 days. Obviously, he was very excited this year for Hanukkah. Jeremy's favorite part about Hanukkah was ripping the wrapping paper off his presents.

Santa; yes I said Santa...
So there is only one reason we could get away with doing this; We were with Debbie. And that pretty much sums up many of the things I shouldn't have gotten away with as kid. With all that Chanukah in the air, a few Xmas lights wouldn't hurt.
Santa came in on the Metrolink during the holidays and Debbie and Kirby graciously invited us over for good company, good wine, lights, music and SANTA!
