So, I work for a really cool company, with an even cooler team. I am really so very fortunate. Our holiday party was at the Sherwood Country Club. Really great food and drinks and then a little bar hopping.

Shabbat @ Home
Both the boys have always gone to a Jewish Daycare. Each week they celebrate Shabbat and a few times a year; they are given a Shabbat Kit for home; complete with everything you need to celebrate Shabbat. It was Zach's turn this week. Our traditions include good music, shabbat pasta and lots of grape juice.

Malibu
Ever since the infamous "staycation," Josh and I have become pretty obsessed with Malibu. We have several small wineries and tasting rooms within a few miles of where we live. We couldnt resist joining a wine club and soon realized the special perks. There is a "secret" place to pick up your wine with free tastings and a gorgeous view. It felt like we were on vacation. In reality, we were just a short drive away.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite times of year. It is so nice to pause for the long weekend and spend time with family. We had a really nice breakfast with my grandma and then had an evening at Aunt Blanche and Uncle Mark's. The kids as usual had so much fun playing with each other.

Kindergarten Update
My Zach! He's doing great. I'm still not sure if sending him was the right decision but the kid has grown up so much already and made me so proud. Over the last few months, it is customary to have a parent-teacher conference and of course a report card. Zach is right on track with everything academically, needs a little improvement with citizenship (aka behavior) but as the teacher shared with us, he is smart, empathetic and everyone wants to be his friend. What more can we ask for. Well, maybe a little improvement on the behavior and self-control fronts but so far so good!

A Great Soccer Season
The soccer season ended today, but, it did not end in typical fashion. Today was supposed to be Zach's final game, but, due to heavy rain, the fields were closed. We still had our team party at Coach Randi's favorite childhood place - Roundtable. Randi did a great job with the boys this season (her first season coaching!), teaching them skills, how to play as a team, and most importantly, how to have fun on the field. Looking forward to another season...Will there be Coach Randi next year????
