More Birthday Fun

Last Day of Room G

Summertime is here (minus the sun!!??!!) and Pre-K is around the corner. My goodness. I have raved all year about Zach's new preschool. His teachers were so patient with him during his transition. And now - it is as if he grew up there. Miss Edit, Miss Joann and Miss Linda - were FABULOUS; to say the least. Zach acutally signed his name on Josh's father's day card all by himself. On Monday, we had an end of the year party. Zach and his friend Shai were hamming it up for the camera!

Happy 1st Birthday Jer-Jer

I have not talked about it much on the blog but when I found out I was pregnant with Jeremy, I felt all of the things a mother to be feels; excitement, angst, thankful, hopeful.... When we went in to find out if the baby was a boy or a girl, I was SURE it was going to be a girl. When when we were told our baby to be was a boy, I immediately thought how the heck is another boy going to be as great as Zach. I started comparing and he wasn't even half-baked yet. When I found out he was breached, I scheduled the external version in fear that I would have to stay in the hospital for four days away from my baby - Zach. I couldn't stomach the thought of having a c-section and not being able to pick Zach up immediately. I wasn't thinking about the baby to be ... I just didn't think I could love another child as much as I loved Zach.

Well, I didn't do any work today and spent the day with my boys. We didn't do much but we were together. We sang happy birthday alot, we danced and played outside. And I reflected and had tears in my eyes several times throughout the day. Jeremy has added so much to our family and our lives. He has the sweetest smile, the cutest laugh and the biggest heart. He looks at Zach and laughs and Zach sees him getting bigger and realizes they are so close to being able to run and play together; to be lifelong buddies. They are just so perfect and bring me so much joy and I am soooo very thankful. This last year has gone by faster than any other. We live in a new city and have new jobs, a new school and a new home. It should have been a really crazy year but it wasn't - my boys made it wonderful!

Memorial Day

Yay! We found our concerts on the lake - except they are in the park. The music was awesome, our company was great; the park was beautiful. You can bring wine! We are beyond thrilled to find our favorite thing about the OC right around the corner in good ol TO!

A Lefty?

I don't even know if you spell it Lefty? or Leftie? I don't know how in the world he might even be one. My own theory goes that since he was breach for so long, maybe some of his teeth got stuck up top (only has four) (along with his balls - that we're still waiting for - which is another story) AND somehow his hand preference also got turned around? Is that possible? I know ... too early to tell but I'm not kidding - I give this guy a cracker and he switches from his right to his left to put it in his mouth. If you give him a ball - left hand; definitely his preference for now. Here is proof.

Surfing

Sometime's we get a little stir crazy in the house and Zach thought up a new game. He "surfs" the big waves in our living room. He's getting pretty good at it! And for all you worriers out there, don't fret, he is in the middle of the room clear of the table and wall that he looks so close to!

Cousin Isabel's 1st Birthday

I think it was the only nice Saturday we have seen in months! Anyways, we had a great time celebrating with friends and family! Happy First Birthday Isabel!
