A Great Soccer Season

The soccer season ended today, but, it did not end in typical fashion. Today was supposed to be Zach's final game, but, due to heavy rain, the fields were closed. We still had our team party at Coach Randi's favorite childhood place - Roundtable. Randi did a great job with the boys this season (her first season coaching!), teaching them skills, how to play as a team, and most importantly, how to have fun on the field. Looking forward to another season...Will there be Coach Randi next year????

Where the Wild Things Are!

Zach's classroom has "rotations" on special days during the year.  I would characterize it as an abbreviated carnival.  The kids also put on their first show of the year; choreographed to "where the wild things are."  We are ESPECIALLLY proud of Zach.  The stage was not his friend last year and now she sort of just eats it up.  It is a real joy for me to watch him grow in this regard.  Super-Duper proud of this kid.  Can I say it any other way?

TEC Olympics

Jeremy's school had an event where the kids participated in olympic type events. It was a lot of fun spending time at the school watching little J run, hop, throw and kick. I don't know Zach, I think you might have competition for sports...

35 Woooooooosh

I have to say that this was one of the best birthdays I have had for a while - thanks to my beautiful wife. Randi planned for my friends from the OC (as well as nearby friends) to come over Sunday afternoon to have an Eagles/birthday party. The Eagles of course lost but I actually did not care - maybe because of all the beers I had with the good company. Randi's homemade breakfast and appetizers were icing on the cake. Oh yea, the cake. Randi got my favorite - Carvel, with that unknown yummy red and blue frosting. Does anyone know exacly what that frosting is - seriously? For my actual birthday, we went to The Grill on the Alley for appetizers and drinks, which was a great place. Thank you Randi for making my birthday special. I love you.

Always a Good Time

We feel so fortunate to see our old neighbors and good friends a few times a year.  Usually, it is birthdays and summertime.  Abbie, turned 6 this month.  I say it every year but I just can't believe it.  Love these two together and love watching them grow.

Fall Festival

We have quite an elementary school on our hands.  I am not kidding, there is something EVERY week.  Fall Festival is an event with carnival games, a rock climbing wall, dinner, music, and little friends.

The Wiggles

This past week, Zach was telling us that his tooth was loose. We felt his teeth and nothing seemed loose. This past Friday, Zach and Jeremy happened to have their 6 month visit. During Zach's exam, the dentist told me to come closer. She took that tool (the one they use to scrape stuff off your teeth) and pushed the two bottom front teeth. Could not believe it. They moved. Of course, this is very exciting. But now all Zach wants to do is show people how his teeth move. I have a feeling that the tooth fairy will be coming earlier than expected. As for Jeremy, I was a little nervous coming in for this visit. Jeremy has probably had one too many lollipops in the past few months. I have also forgotten to brush his teeth every now and then. Well, we still got a good report - the teeth look good (except for a small chip on the front tooth). Below is a pic of Jeremey sitting next to his buddy, waiting for his turn.
