Jog-a-Thon

I really don't remember school being this fun. This past week, Zach's school had its annual Jog-a-Thon, which is a fundraiser for the PTA. They had a DJ while the kids ran laps around the field. Zach finished with an impressive 21 laps and was given a Sharky's gift certificate at the end!

At the Polls (and at my Junior High)

The entire morning was exciting but I'm still not sure why.  We decided to go vote together as a family.  We thought it would be a good teaching moment for the boys.  I was also pretty excited because our polling location was situated at my junior high school.  I could not resist running upstairs and showing Zach my old locker.  I'm hoping by the time jr. high rolls around, perhaps a new school will be built.  But nonetheless it was fun bringing the family there.

Quite the sweet tooth

We can get Jeremy to do pretty much anything if we offer him one of the following, a donut, a piece of chocolate, some ice cream, a cookie.  There is really sheer joy in his face when he gets something sweet.

The Bankie

This was Zach's blanket, given to me by my good friend Marisa.  It is a Nordstrom blanket and we know this because we have been back several times to either 1) by the same blanket for someone else or 2) try to convince Jeremy that he needs a new one.  It was very hard for Zach to part with this thing and impossible for Jeremy.  It is definitely a hazard now.  So much so, that my blog could potentially be incriminating against me.  I had to take a picture because I can not imagine this thing is going to make it much longer.

Spiderman and QB

Halloween is some serious business with a Kindergartner.  There is pumpkin carving,  carnivals, parades at school and parties at night. My work goes all out as well.  Each department puts together a "theme."  Ours was Rollerderby.  We dressed up, complete with a set of roller skates, and prepared for the kiddies to come visit and trick or treat around the office.  My little kiddos were dressed as Spiderman and future QB. They looked pretty adorable if I don't say myself!

Trick or Treat

We pretty much have an amazing neighborhood for Halloween. At least a quarter to maybe even half of Zach's friends from school live within walking distance. We had an early pizza party with Carson, Brayden and Jackson and out we went. Jeremy could only take so much so we went back to the house to give out candy which was much more his speed. In between the doorbell ringing, the silly kid tried to beat up our Halloween goblin.
