Who's your daddy?
So back in the day, I could score a pretty decent tan. I probably still could if I had a minute to relax in the sun. Nowadays, the fake stuff will have to do. But the other night, the boys were playing and having such a good time with eachother. It was just after bath time so Jeremy was not fully clothed yet. Check out the color on Zach compared to Jeremy. We swear we put suncreen on him every day.

Now that's a birthday party!
I went back and forth for a long time about this. Do we have one; do we have two; will I scar them for life if I don't let them have their own parties; is anyone really going to know the difference? When we finally made up our mind; we decided to go big or go home. If I don't so say myself, this was some party. I even think I broke a sweat from all the action. We definitely owe it to the Parks and Recreation of Thousand Oaks for knowing how its done. We had arts and crafts, a slip and slide, a pinata and a treasure hunt (that we didn't even get to). The kids had such a blast. I even did a two sided invitation, got two cakes, and of course we sang twice. The best part was that I won a contest several months ago from Gina Reese of Rusted Wagon Photography and she came to take amazing pictures of the event - one less thing off my plate. What was even more fun about Gina being there was that we were actually old highschool friends who haven't seen each other in about 15 years! I will let the pictures do the talking! Remember the feeling after the last song is played at your wedding and all of your guests are leaving; you just can't believe what a great day it was and so sad it is actually over ... yep, had that feeling again after this one. There is nothing like seeing so many people have so much fun!

Happy, Happy Birthday to our two sweet boys! We had such a fun month celebrating with both of you. We love you!
Can't forget some of my amateur shots...

And he's FOUR!
We had a big joint birthday party for the boys in between both of their birthdays! On Zachy's acutual birthday, we actually had a block party. Our neighbors got a bounce house and everyone came out for hours of ping pong, potluck and fun! And Zach thought we were having another birthday party for him - Perfect! I'm not quite sure where the time has gone. FOUR seems so big to me. I really have no words other than how proud I am to be his mom and how full my heart feels on days like today!

July 4th
We continued our tradition by starting out the morning going to a 5K race in Newbury Park. It was nice to get out with the family and do a run. It was a good time, other than the first mile climb, which involved running up a hill for an entire mile, pushing a monster double stroller, with the front tire misaligned. We did finish the race - 38 minutes (did I mention the monster stroller?)
After the race, they had activities for the kids. Zach went straight to the slide...

Later in the evening, we went to see fireworks. Zach was very excited. We found out when we got there that the event required wristbands, which we did not have. They sold out of wristbands. Well, it was our lucky night because a guy came up to us as we were about to leave and gave us wrist bands!!!

Slip & Slide
The past couple of weekends since Zachary's and Jeremy's joint birthday party (a post will follow on the party), we have been hanging out at the pool, and playing on the slip & slide that a friend bought Zach for his birthday. The slip & slide is a lot of fun, especially when it's hot outside. What's not fun is the water bill.

Randi "Skee Ball" Shayne
450,000 - no, not dollars, I'm talking about points. Randi was determined to hit this number at the skee ball machine at Chuck E. Cheese's. How much joy this brought to Zachy was priceless. After several attempts, Randi hit 450,000 points - the jackpot. The tickets kept coming and coming. An attendant even came to us to open up the machine to make sure we got the right amount of tickets. For a split second, we thought we were in Vegas.
